Built to be usable by everyone.

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. playbakk has not yet been independently audited, so we do not claim conformance. This statement reflects our own testing and will be updated after a formal audit.

• A “Skip to content” link, landmark regions and a logical heading order on every page.
• Keyboard access to navigation, menus and account controls, with a visible focus outline.
• Labelled buttons and form fields, including the theme switch and mobile menu.
• Light and dark themes.
• Captions you can generate, edit and burn into your clips, so the people who watch your videos can follow them without sound.
• Responsive layouts designed to reflow on narrow screens and when zoomed.

These are design intentions checked in our own testing, not the result of an audit.

We know about these problems and are working on them:

• Video editing controls. Trimming, cut ordering and manual crop are easiest with a mouse or trackpad. Keyboard alternatives exist for some, but not all, of these controls.
• Screen-reader announcements. Recording status, the ten-second setup test and export progress are not yet announced consistently to screen readers.
• Automatic captions and speaker detection can be wrong, especially with accents, background noise or overlapping speech. Always review captions before publishing.
• Muted text. Some secondary text may fall below the AA contrast ratio in one of the themes. We are checking every colour pairing.
• Browser-dependent features. Camera, microphone and window-sharing permission prompts are provided by your browser and operating system, and their accessibility is outside our control.
• The desktop companion is a developer package and has not yet been tested with assistive technologies.
