Releases
Clean clips of just you
- Record your own camera and microphone alongside a call in any calling app on your computer, or import a call recording you already have.
- playbakk detects who is speaking, cuts the other person’s turns, and removes their face and window so the clip shows only you (“Me only”).
- Face-following reframe to 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 and 16:9, with captions re-timed to the cut. Face detection runs on your device.
- An export privacy gate blocks any clip that would include the other person without valid consent.
- Still in testing on real calls and devices: companion capture, call import, face detection and speaker detection on real audio.
Consent receipts
- Send the other person a private consent link. They can see what you are asking for, approve “Them” or “Both”, or decline — no account needed.
- Approval produces a digitally signed (Ed25519) consent receipt that expires after 30 days by default, and never later than 90.
- The other person can withdraw consent at any time from the same link. New exports that include them are then blocked.
- We store the minimum: no media, no guest email, no raw link token.
Portable archive
- Export your whole local workspace as a single .playbakk file and import it into another browser or a new playbakk address.
- Every file in the archive carries a SHA-256 checksum, so corruption or tampering is detected on import. Nothing is uploaded.
Trust and legal pages
- New contact, cookie, accessibility, acceptable use, sub-processor, DPA, refunds, press, trust centre and status pages. Legal pages are drafts pending review.
- Published security.txt so researchers know how to report vulnerabilities.
