Step 01
Start playbakk next to your call.
Open playbakk on your computer and choose Me only, the default. Put your headphones on and make the short check: play it back to confirm your camera, your microphone and that the other person’s voice is not leaking in. Then take the call in WhatsApp, Telegram, FaceTime, Zoom or Meet as usual.
Step 02
Talk.
Tell the other person you are recording your side. It is the respectful thing to do, and in some places everyone’s consent is required. Have the conversation naturally; mark a moment if you want to find it quickly later.
Step 03
Get a clean 9:16 clip of you.
After the call, playbakk suggests a cut of your answers and a vertical frame. Add captions from an SRT transcript; automatic transcription is not enabled in this release. Review the whole clip, then export it. Nothing is posted for you.
Including them
Them only or Both.
To include the other person, send them a consent link. They open it in their browser, with no account, and choose what they agree to. Until they do, playbakk keeps to Me only.
On your phone
Import instead.
There is no live capture during a native phone call. Import a recording of the call, or an Apple Local Capture file where your device supports it, then review the framing and add your transcript. Imported recordings with mixed voices cannot currently export Me only; including the other person requires a valid consent receipt.
Try it with a friendly call first.
A quick chat with a colleague on a non-sensitive subject is the best way to check your setup.
